Tasmania Makes 24

Tasmania Makes 24 is the second iteration of an annual initiative for Tasmanian designers and makers from all backgrounds, design disciplines and career stages to showcase their work to a wider audience. The project offers a range of opportunities, including facilitated workshops, industry partnerships, media exposure and a chance for your work to be exhibited and collected at the Melbourne Design Fair 2025 under the Design Tasmania umbrella.

Other tailored opportunities will be sought throughout the year, on a case-by-case basis.

The outcomes will be presented in a three-month exhibition at Design Tasmania from February to April 2025.

Whether you have an idea for a unique, collectible design piece or you're already working on a new prototype or product, we want to hear from you. Tasmania Makes is an opportunity to showcase your ideas, gain recognition, and connect with a community of like-minded designers and makers.

Our industry partners for 2024 are:
Hydrowood, Simon Ancher Studio, Timberworld, and Waverley Mills

For more information on opportunities, industry partners, and to receive an EOI form, please email: info@designtasmania.com.au

Applications close midnight on 15 July 2024.

We strongly encourage submissions from Tasmanian Aboriginal artists, artists from culturally diverse backgrounds, and artists with a disability.
