Marty Wolfhagen

Marty studied at the Centre for Furniture Design in Hobart and has since developed a successful furniture design practice, which he operates independently from his workshop near Westbury, northern Tasmania. He specialises in handmade furniture pieces that are crafted with exquisite care and attention to detail. The time-consuming nature of much of his work means that production is limited to single pieces or small editions. Marty has exhibited widely both in Tasmania and interstate. He believes that the design of quality products is dependent on a harmonious marriage of technical and engineering needs with aesthetic considerations.
