David Ralph

(b.1946–), NSW

David Ralph graduated as a mining engineer at the University of New South Wales before moving to Tasmania where in 1975 he began his career as a woodworker, until his retirement in 2002. He produced furniture in horizontal timber as well as turned bowls and canisters in Huon Pine. David has an interest in historic furniture, which is evident in his work, which also embodies a sense of the natural environment.
