Paccy Stronach is a furniture designer, sculptor and boat builder. He trained at the internationally acclaimed John Makepeace School for Craftsmen in Wood in Dorset, England before emigrating to Tasmania in 1994. He has lectured in design at the Centre for Furniture Design and as a lecturer / coordinator in wood design at TAFE (Technical and Further Education) in Hobart.
Paccy has many years experience as a self-employed furniture designer and maker, as well as working as an outdoor education instructor in his native Ireland. Now a shipwright at the Dunally Slip and BoatWorks, Stronach has returned to his love of boats. He also continues to design and make furniture and sculpture through Bream Creek ArtWorsk, undertaking private and public commissions.
